| ~General Information~Name: Kawasaki Shun Nickname/Alias: N/A Weight: 106 lbs Height: 5'0 Age: 13 Gender: Male Appearance: General- A young man who, much like his father, has fallen into the category that many physicians like to call the "late-bloomers", Shun is not one of those who has been blessed by nature to hit puberty before he hit his teens. Shun's height and weight, both of which he is less than pleased about due to the fact that they are much smaller than he would like given both his choice in profession and preference for bulk, are quite diminutive and to be precise he measures somewhere around 60 inches and weighs only 106 lbs or so. Due to his relatively young age, Shun's body has not yet begun to develop enough muscle for it to be clearly discernible when compared to other men his age, but it is obvious that he is, at the very least, quite healthy when one takes into consideration that he is beginning to develop noticeable biceps and faint definition on his abdominal muscles, which he is quite proud of. Perhaps due to some sort of genetic trait that he picked up from one or both of his parents, despite the fact that he spends rather extensive amounts of time in the outdoors, Shun seems to be completely unaffected by the sun and, in fact, his skin is noticeably paler than what would be considered average for a man who spends any amount of time in the outdoors. Due, mostly, to his more recent choices in life, Shun has begun to collect numerous scars across his body and if he were to disrobe in the presence of other people, one might find that they have a hard time holding in gasps of shock or disgust at the map of scars that lay across Shun's tiny body. Shun is also in possession of a number of calluses and the like, mostly due to his choice in fighting style which has effected his training, and thus, has forced his skin to familiarize itself with rigorous activities that would result in calluses. Facial Features/Hair- Though he seems to have taken after his father when it comes to a majority of his facial features, Shun was lucky enough to be born with his mother's bright amber eyes, which, incidentally, happen to be the only feature on his face he is truly confident in. Shun possess a slightly rotund face, courtesy of puberty's lack of haste when it comes to altering his face, though, one can note that with enough scrutiny, that they can see the more triangular shape that Shun's face will take when he grows older, most evident in his strengthening jawline. Shun, much like his father, was born with naturally unruly, auburn hair that absolutely refuses to be tamed, regardless of the effort put in, and as such, he rarely makes efforts to control his hair, meaning that it usually sits on his like some sort of fluff ball. Shun is currently incapable of growing facial hair, and as such, he has none that is worth mentioning, though he imagines, one day, he might be able to grow some hair across his visage. Clothing: Due to his choice in life to abandon all that he had been given by his father to make a way for himself in hopes of discovering something more fulfilling, Shun left himself with little choice but to acquire the proper attire to confront the trials that he would undoubtedly face. In this case, it meant all purpose clothing. Though he hats to admit it due to his rather strange views on "manly" hobbies, Shun learned to sew and make clothing courtesy of his mother, who was determined that her son be able to support himself in the future, this resulted in Shun's ability to craft his own clothing to fit the environment he was in, which was, considering how determined he was on living outdoors and traveling, going to include quite the diverse area. Shun's clothing mainly consists of a tunic made of a light, and easily acquired fabric that can breath easily, thus meaning that Shun need not worry that much about overheating whilst wearing it but does need to look out for becoming too chilly or it's lack of protection. To counteract the aforementioned drawbacks to his initial upper body clothing, Shun wears a thick brown coat-sweater cross-breed of a much more difficult to find, and, he admits, impossible for him to properly mold, fabric that helps insulate him well whenever he finds himself in more chilly weather. Shun's coat/sweater comes with a hood and some wool inside for extra insulation. It is also abundant in pockets. When it is hot out, Shun wears it with the buttons undone, allowing him to air himself out. To cover up his more delicate areas down below, Shun wears a pair of brown leggings which he himself sewed, much like his initial upper body covering, and offers much the same drawbacks and to counteract aforementioned drawbacks, he wears a second layer of leggings similar in design to his sweater/coat, though, he rarely ever actually puts them on, saving them exclusively for colder weather than he can bear. Shun's leggings and tunic are both white in color and his over layers are brown in color with white wool interior, giving many that come across him that Shun's colors of choice are brown and white. Personality: After having spent the last few years of his life being compared to his younger and, generally, much more successful sibling, Shun has developed a bad case of both sibling rivalry and has showcased all the signs that one would expect from a sufferer of an inferiority complex. Desperate for attention, Shun acts out in a belligerent, vulgar and generally socially unacceptable fashion. However, Shun's attention grabbing methods are in direct contrast with his need for approval as they only work to draw antipathy from others, effectively alienating Shun from those he tries so hard to gain esteem from. Though Shun knows that the actions he takes are not helping him in his cause, he believes that it is impossible for him to change after having spent years acting in such a fashion, this works to aggravate Shun whenever it crosses his mind, causing him to become even more frustrated and fall deeper into depression, effectively, beginning a cycle that a young adult, such as Shun, would be hard pressed to break out of. Naturally an extrovert with the vocabulary to rival that of a writer, Shun is actually a skillful linguist and has a natural flair for public speaking. A notable offspring trait of Shun's natural talent when it comes to speaking is his sharp tongued and rather creative language, in fact, it is not uncommon for Shun to invent brand new insults mid-conversation. Shun's most notable achievement as an author is writing a series of fictional short-stories about a world where magical machines are able to process copious amounts of information and people utilize them to contact each other and play games about people who never existed. Due to his inborn but subconsciously suppressed ability to find topics of interest for people and converse with them about those topics with ease, Shun is a natural born leader. With the supplementary abilities to read the atmosphere among a large group of people, feel the flow of a battle between two opposing sides and the ability to suppress his own fear long enough to make decisive moves with both confidence and startling speed. Unfortunately due to the false attitude that Shun prefers to keep active, Shun's leadership skills are rarely, if ever put to good use and as such, he is actually unaware of their existence. A very considerate and loyal person by nature, Shun rarely forgets the names or dates of importance of those who he believes have earned either his favor or have become his allies. Unfortunately due to the fact that Shun has no friends among the many people he interacts with most commonly, these traits are not normally exercised. Due to Shun's actions commonly having the effect of aggravating or just displeasing pretty much everyone they influence, he has become accustomed to contempt and as such, has slowly started to expect it to be the first, if not most appreciated, set of emotions that people have for him. Special Characteristics:Above Average Speed- Shun actually had to work rigorously for this particular characteristic and he, and others, have claimed that it can only be defined as Shun's abillity to both accelerate to and maintain speeds that exceed that of even most above average shinobi of his rank. This ability can also be refined but due to the lack of time Shun has found himself with recently, it remains untrained and at an level that can be stated, mathematically, to be roughly 30% higher than your average Shinobi of his rank. Enhanced Strength- An inborn talent of Shun's that only seems to be growing more and more formidable as his age increases, this "Special Characteristic" can only aptly be described as Shun's innate ability to produce far more force with his muscles than should logically be possible when one takes into consideration Shun's size as well as other factors. At the moment, due to his lack of perfecting this trait of his, Shun's Strength can be mathematically calculated to be above 50% higher than your average Shinobi of his rank. Above Average Stamina- Like his speed, this too was a trait that was born of Shun's long hours spent training, more specifically, training his cardiovascular system with the copious amounts of running he was doing. This ability can be defined as Shun's apparent ability to continue operating at a high level of efficiency for long periods of time, to be exact, this particular trait allows Shun 30% more stamina than your average Shinobi of his rank. Above Average Endurance- Like his speed, this too was a trait that was born of Shun's long hours spent training, more specifically, training his body to cope with the punishment of his training sessions. This ability can be defined as Shun's apparent ability to continue operating at a high level of efficiency whilst disregarding damage present upon his person, to be exact, this particular trait allows Shun 30% more endurance than your average Shinobi of his rank. Flaws/Weaknesses:Below Average Ninjutsu- Despite the fact that he graduated with passing marks in this particular skill during his days at the Academy, Shun's classmates and, more than likely, younger genin have long past Shun when it comes to practical usage of Ninjutsu. Shun's ninjutsu can be considered to be above average for an Academy Student to just below average for a Genin fresh out of the academy, at best. Abysmal Genjutsu-Despite the fact that he graduated with passing marks in this particular skill during his days at the Academy, Shun's classmates and, more than likely, younger genin have long past Shun when it comes to practical usage of Genjutsu. Shun's Genjutsu can be considered to be average for an academy Student to just plain terrible for a Genin fresh out of the academy. Below Average Chakra Amount- Due to his lack of regular usage, in comparison to those who utilize either Ninjutsu or Genjutsu, Shun's Chakra amounts have not developed as quickly as others of his ranking, this means that Shun permanently possesses an amount of chakra that is lower than your average Shinobi of his skill level. Below Average Chakra Control- Due to his lack of practice with the proper manipulation of chakra, Shun has not developed a Chakra control that can be considered to be even average, meaning that even performing basic Ninjutsu or genjutsu is strenuous to him. The only times Shun has been seen with a chakra control that is even the least bit respectable for someone of his ranking is when it involves augmenting his own physical abilities; he even finds walking on water and tree walking to be relatively strenuous activity. ~Jutsu~D: 2 C: 6 [7] B: 0 A: 0 S: 0 _____________ Basic Skills- Spoiler:
Name:Act of Water Surface Walking Rank: N/A Type: Supplementary, General Skill Hand Seals: N/A Element: N/A Description: A variation on the Kinobori no Waza (Act of Tree Climbing), the art of water surface walking allows a ninja to walk on water as if it was a solid surface. Focusing an even amount of chakra out of the soles of their feet, they can balance themselves on the very surface of the water.
Name: Act of Tree Climbing Rank: N/A Type: Supplementary, General Skill Hand Seals: N/A Element: N/A Description: Kinobori no Waza, the art of tree climbing serves a dual purpose. Taking part in Kinobori Shugyou (Tree Climbing Training) helps a ninja learn how to focus their chakra. It also teaches the ninja how to run up trees and walk on vertical walls. The training helps the ninja learn how to focus just the right amount of chakra to a particular part of their body. The amount needed to climb is small but it must be precise. The feet are regarded as the hardest location to master chakra focusing. So by gaining the art of this skill, the ninja will have any jutsu available (theoretically) because they will be able to focus their chakra as needed.
Academy Jutsu - Spoiler:
Name:Clone Technique Rank: E Type: Supplementary Hand Seals:Ram → Snake → Tiger Element: N/A Description: This technique creates intangible copies of the user. The clones are simply illusions and will dissipate when they come into contact with something. These illusions however have been shown to be easily distinguishable by persons with dōjutsu. A person with normal eyes can also distinguish the clones from the original, since the clones do not have shadows and will not disrupt the area around themselves with their movement (i.e. won't kick up dust, crush grass, etc.).
Name: Body replacement Technique Rank: E Type: Supplementary Hand Seals: Ram → Boar → Ox → Dog → Snake Element: N/A Description: This jutsu lets the user quickly switch places with another nearby object, such as a plant (normally a section of a log), an animal, or even another person within reach, the moment an attack hits. This creates an optical illusion, making the enemy think the attack was successful. The user can then use this confusion to escape or launch a counter-attack. Exploding tags can be attached to the replacement for an added surprise.
Name: Transformation Technique Rank: E Type: Supplementary Hand Seals: Dog → Boar → Ram Element: N/A Description: This jutsu allows the user to transform either themselves or another object into the appearance of another person, animal, or object. This is one of the basic jutsu taught at the Konohagakure Ninja Academy, and most shinobi know this jutsu. The transformation technique is considered to be among the more difficult E-ranked techniques, since it requires constant emission of chakra while mentally maintaining the form. On top of that, the user would be, most likely, interacting with the environment. This puts mental strain on an inexperienced ninja. Thus the best way to determine if it is indeed a transformation is to cause this strain upon the user though this is of course not always successful.
Name: Genjutsu Release Rank: D-S [C] Type: Supplementary Ninjutsu Hand Seals: Tiger Element: N/A Description: Kai is a Ninjutsu technique which allows the ninja to avoid the effects of a Genjutsu illusion. After forming the needed handseals, the Genjutsu technique will not affect the ninja. The ninja can also use the technique on another individual who was unable to avoid the attack. After forming the needed hand seals, the ninja touches the one affected to end the affect of the spell.
Supplementary Jutsu- Spoiler:
Name: Body Flicker Technique Rank: D Type: Supplementary, Ninjutsu Hand Seals: Ram Element: N/A Description: This technique is a high-speed movement technique, allowing a ninja to move short to long distances at an almost untraceable speed. To an observer, it appears as if the user has teleported. A puff of smoke is occasionally used to disguise the user's movements. It is accomplished by using chakra to temporarily vitalise the body and move at extreme speeds. The amount of chakra required depends on the overall distance and elevation between the user and the intended destination. Shisui Uchiha was feared as "Shisui of the Body Flicker" (瞬身のシスイ, Shunshin no Shisui), likely referring to this technique.
Name: Temporary Paralysis Technique Rank: D Type: Supplementary Hand Seals: N/A Element: N/A Description: A technique for physical restraint, quite as if the opponent had been tied in invisible steel ropes. This is a basic ninjutsu usable even by genin, but its intensity will vary greatly according to the user's level. In addition, depending on the user, the technique can be cast on every target at once, and won't fail a shinobi during his missions. This debilitates the victim for a short period of time, which allows the user to either strike again or, in some cases, take the target into custody.
Taijutsu- Spoiler:
Name: Lariat: Junior Edition Rank: C Type: Offensive, Taijutsu Hand Seals: N/A Element: N/A Description: The user charges at his opponent, striking them with a Lariat move, which can be coated in chakra. A successful strike can shatter a target's ribs with a direct hit. The attack is rather straightforward, but very quick and powerful. This technique is not quite as powerful as it potentially could be due to the user's lack of skill in combat, and thus, can be upgraded with enough effort.
Name: Leaf Gale Rank: D Type: Offensive, Taijutsu Hand Seals: N/A Element: N/A Description: This technique is a good example of how even simple taijutsu can become a pre-eminently destructive, lethal technique. The attack is a simple rear spinning low kick, but a strong enough user can send a large adult flying as if they weighed nothing. The goal is to throw the enemy off balance, and deal damage to the lower half of their body.
Name: Leaf Rising Wind Rank: C Type: Offensive, Taijutsu Hand Seals: N/A Element: N/A Description: This technique uses the entire body as a spring, by amassing power through taking a posture where the back of the body falls down. With this powerful taijutsu, the user kicks just above the head. Because the power of the kick from the ground is instantly converted into a blow, the enemy hit with this attack will be launched high into the sky.
Name: Oppression Horizontal Rank: C Type: Offensive, Taijutsu Hand Seals: N/A Element: N/A Description: After covering their arm, more speficially, the attacking arm from the elbow up to the fingertips in a respectable amount of chakra, the user performs a simple backhand chop against his opponent. The force generated by this attack is enough actually break bone and extensively bruise flesh, making up where it lacks in range with destructive power.
Name: Lion Combo Rank: C Type: Offensive, Taijutsu Hand Seals: N/A Element: N/A Description: A technique that incoporates the Shadow of the Dancing Leaf technique, this technique always starts with the user having launched the opponent in the air before hand and then utilizing the aforementioned technqiue to position themselves behind their opponent's back. The technique can then be utilized by the user launching a series of blows that differ dependent on both user preference and circumstance, though Shun likes to end the technique by coporating one of his other Taijutsu techniques just as the opponent approaches the ground. He has also been known to end the technique with a simple stomp.
Name: Shadow of the Dancing Leaf Rank: C Type: Supplementary, Taijutsu Hand Seals: N/A Element: N/A Description: A technique where one follows the opponent, closely matching his or her body's movement, just like a leaf that dances in the air is followed by its shadow. The technique is usually preceded by a swift upper kick that will launch the target into the air. It is mainly used to position an opponent into a vulnerable aerial position.
~History/RP Sample~History/Background Story:- Spoiler:
Parenthood Arc-
Shun was born with a rather mismatched, but still very interesting, parentage. Takeshi Kiyomaro, Shun's future father, had been born and raised as the heir to his own father's fishing boat and his business in the trade of seafood, both of which were located on a lake just on the outskirts of the Kumogakure No Sato. Due to the Kumogakure's abundance of Fisherman near the time of Takeshi Kiyomaro's childhood, Kiyomaro and his family found themselves poor to the point of near destitution. It was only due to Kiyomaro's Mother being well-like through out the village due to her past kindness that Kouta, Kiyomaro's father, was able at all to support his family in a time where being a fisherman was such a bad idea. It was during this time of his life that Kiyomaro, who had long since begun to envy those who seemed to be flourishing economically, vowed that he would never be like his father and instead, would become a very wealthy man, a vow that Kiyomaro would remember for the rest of his life. However, Kiyomaro also knew that if he ever hoped to become wealthy that he would need both a starting point and knowledge, as such, Kiyomaro worked hard to get a good education and worked even harder when fishing with his father, intending to sell the boat and his families time slot for fishing on the lake, when he inherited it. Sure enough, when it came time for Takeshi Kouta to retire and give the business and all it's assets to his son, Kiyomaro was quick to sell them for a heft price. Now finding himself educated, well-off and without any sort of obligations after having given his father half of the money from the sale, Kiyomaro decided that he would rent a small apartment and begin to invest in the trade of grain.
For months, Frank lived quite the exciting life, chasing after women, living the high class, trading wits with some of the No Kuni's most established merchants, truly, it was not the life one would expect from a impoverished fisherman's son. However, it seemed that staying single was not in Kiyomaro's future as he came across quite the potential spouse. One day, during one of Kiyomaro's many visits down to the docks on the outskirts of the Konohagakure after having visited his parents, who lived nearby, Kiyomaro came across one of his father's old acquaintances. After spending a bit of time exchanging pleasant and polite conversation with the man and those who were walking with him towards his boat, Kiyomaro was introduced to the man's daughter, a young lady named Ayame. For an instant, neither of the two said anything to each other, but upon prodding from her father, Ayame introduced herself followed shortly by the positively smitten, Kiyomaro. Within minutes, Kiyomaro and Ayame had a date planned at the Kumogakure's most celebrated restaurant and Kiyomaro began his short journey to marriage. Kiyomaro and Ayame's was a whirlwind passion. Kiyomaro lavished Ayame with whatever his fortune allowed him to, which was quite a bit considering just how much he had surmised in his short lifetime. Ayame, who had never been treated in such a fashion, nor been courted before decided that she would begin to hint at wanting to become Kiyomaro's wife. Kiyomaro, forever a very intuitive man decided that the six months he had spent with Ayame were more than enough for them to get to know each other, and proposed, to a very pleased Ayame who quickly agreed. Roughly a year after the ceremony, Kiyomaro and Ayame discovered that she was pregnant. Seven months later, for they only learned Ayame was pregnant after two months, Ayame gave birth to Takeshi Kiyomaro. Who seemed to have taken after his father when it came to looks.
Childhood and Disappointment Arc-
With the birth of his son, Kiyomaro felt an obligation to himself to make sure that the toddler, who he and his wife had named Shun, grow up with the necessary knowledge to run Kiyomaro's trade based business empire. Falling away from his position as head of the "Takeshi Trading Corporation" and leaving it in the hands of his trusty yes-man, Kiyonmaro focused upon his son, determined to train the perfect successor. For years upon years, Kiyomaro attempted to tutor Shun as best he could, not even allowing him to interact beyond what was required with the other children in their neighborhood. Kiyomaro spent many years telling him all he knew about manners, discipline, business and tried instill in him, not love for his father, but instead, duty and his own personal love for money. Unfortunately, Kiyomaro had, like many teachers, assumed that Shun was a auditory or even a visual learner which was far from the truth, in fact, Shun was a Kinesthetic learner and found it incessantly difficult to learn sitting at a desk, being lectured, a method that made up roughly 80% of the lessons his father held for him. It was due to this miscommunication that Kiyomaro began to foster a sense of disappointment and even contempt for his, by then, seven year old son and vice versa. Eventually, Kiyomaro decided that Shun was not material for the business world and as such, attempting to teach him how to survive in it was just as much a waste of time as Shun was a waste of space. Ayame, forever a timid woman, could not bring herself to disagree with her rather assertive husband and instead, did her best to show Shun that she loved him as only a mother could whilst never actively stating her opinion coincided with her husband's.
Shun, feeling a sense of unwelcome in his father's presence decided that spend more time outside, intent on interacting and, perhaps, becoming friends with the other children. Unfortunately, Shun quickly discovered that his years of forced seclusion had left him unable to properly relate, let alone speak to others his own age. This persisted for weeks, until finally, Shun lost all hope of being friends with the children and instead, began to harbor an even deeper hatred for his father whilst simultaneously developing a hatred for the other children, who all seemed to be able to have fun with each other, but never with him. It was only two days later that word got around that the young son of Takeshi Kiyomaro, Takeshi Shun, had gotten into a fight, and beaten up three of Kiyomaro's business partner's children. Due to the amount of contempt some merchants held for Kiyomaro, due to him having put them out of business in some ventures, Kiyomaro found the topic of his sons violent exploits the main gossip for the next handful of days. It was during one of these days that an enraged Kiyomaro first ever laid a hand upon his son, whilst telling him how much he had disappointed him and just how little he cared for him. Both shcoekd and hurt by his father's admission of his dislike for him, Shun repeated similar words of hatred to his father, though his explanation was much less elegant and Shun was unable to keep the hurt out of his voice. It was on that day that Shun and Kiyomaro stopped speaking to each other as father and son and classified each other as enemies who could not move away from each other due to their mutual love, though fundamentally different, for Ayame.
Preadolescence Rebellion, Shinobi Entrance And Inspiration-
For a grand total of three months Shun found himself stuck in the world of those who have been shunned by all the social groups that others find themselves embraced in with little effort. With no friends and a dysfunctional family, Shun was left to live his life as best he could without the advice or consideration of anyone else, a freedom he both hated and loved at the same time. It was just as Shun began to question whether or not he wanted to pick another fight, similar to the one he had been a part of before hand, if anything to just to shine a negative light onto his father's business. It was as he sat upon a park bench, watching a group of neighborhood kids who had shooed him away and come very close to receiving a vicious beating, that Shun came a brand new way to interact with the children. After having watched them play some sort of game that involved round objects of what appeared to be some variation of glass, Shun was treated to the sight of the children each taking turns attempting to climb a tree, only to fail as they found the third branch up just out of their tiny reach. Shun, seeing this as his chance to approach and befriend the children made his way down and proceeded to climb, reaching the same point as the other children before passing. As the others began to snicker and sneer, Shun did the only thing that made sense to him; he swallowed his fear and leaped, just barely managing to lace his fingers together as a result. Continuing on his climb, Shun ended up fifty feet, just barely able to hear the excited and impressed chatter of the other children before he realized that he had no way to get down; not safely anyway.
As he contemplated ways to make his way down safely, Shun heard a loud cracking noise before the branch he had found himself on broke under his weight and he was sent plummeting towards the earth. However, it appeared that luck was on Shun's side as he fell, a young chunin who had, ever so conveniently, passing by saw the boy's peril and decided to intervene. After having been saved by the young man, Shun watched, stunned, as the young man, who had the appearance of a delinquent, exchanged words and high-fives with the children nearby, his profession obviously offering him a certain amount of popularity. It was at that moment that Shun decided that he would spend the next few years of his life as many youths within the Kumogakure did, and join the Shinobi Academy. After a week's time, the time being spent by the village to decide if Shun had the mental, spiritual and physical capabilities to be a shinobi, Shun brought the application form for the Shinobi Academy before his newly pregnant Mother. Though she was reluctant, after seeing the look upon Shun's face and the glow in the child's eyes her reluctance broke down and her tendency to grant his wishes, Shun found himself within the other shinobi potentials.
A Welcome Rival, Delinquency, Victory and Hard Work Arc-
For the first few weeks of his time as a student of the Shinobi Academy, Shun attempted to make a good impression and did all his work exactly as it was explained to him, practicing exercises and studying twice as hard as others whenever he didn't quite grasp something. It turned out to be an excellent idea, for those six weeks, Shun was one of the academy's most well-liked students, by the staff anyway, however, it was exactly that reason that caused Shun's efforts to amount for naught in the future. Finding his position as top of the class threatened by the arrival of the boy he and his fellow students had shunned for so long, a talented young shinobi hopeful by the name of Riku devised a way to get back at him. Waiting until Shun was out in the school yard, near a group of other students who were having trouble with a concept that Shun had long since grasped and was now reexplaining to them, Riku and his band of lackeys began to berate him. Never one for patience and finding that the frustration that he had been building up for the better part of a year still festering, Shun jumped to his feet and was the first to throw a punch. Unfortunately, like all other forms of competition, the one man team could not overcome the team of many and soon enough Shun was lying flat on his back with minor injuries, but obviously defeated. As if that wasn't enough, it seemed that Riku and co had taken the old saying "The Victor decides history" to heart and told the staff of the academy that it was Shun who had attacked them for no reason and with so many claiming it, it was no wonder that the staff took their word for it. Now classified as a lost cause at school, Shun was treated as a bottom rung student and seemed to have gained the contempt of both his classmates and his instructors by assaulting the ridiculously popular Riku and his friends.
As if it was not bad enough that Shun had suddenly become unwelcome in a place where he had hoped to be accepted, Shun found that he had gone from non-existent to permanent and very annoying smudge in the eyes of his father. With the birth of a second son and a chance for a new heir, he began to openly insult and generally show his dislike for the young Shun, it also didn't help that Shun's mother had begun to focus onto the toddler. For roughly three years afterward, Shun harbored a powerful dislike for his much younger sibling for taking away the only love he found identifiable, his mother's. However, once it was discovered that his brother was a genius due to his IQ, Shun's dislike advanced into much more palpable hatred. Fortunately, this only lasted until he saw his sibling running towards him with surprising balance and steadiness for a five year old. Unfortunately, Shun's emotional suffering had begun to show in his work as a Shinobi and he found that he was rather close to being the bottom of the class and that he only barely had half a year until his Genin exam. Like many of his other classmates, Shun couldn't help but voice both his distress and joy of the upcoming event to the, once more, present ears of his mother. As nervous as he was during the event, Shun found that he was able to perform the tasks asked of him with relative ease and in reward, he was given both the title of Genin and a headband, identifying him as an official Shinobi of the Kumogakure. Shun has recently spent the past year of his life working hard on the one Shinobi art he was certain he could excel in; Taijutsu, which explains his rather...unbalanced Jutsu count.
Roleplay Sample: Shun's breaths were coming back into his control without the restricting weight from the practice weapon he had been entrusted with. The sweat on his body, with the exception of the perspiration that had built up on his forehead and plastered his unnaturally white hair there and the thin layer that was on the back of his neck, had dried in the few moments he had rested in the shade. He sat with his elbows on his knees, his head held downcast as he stared at the space between his wide open legs, attempting to calm his still fast beating heart. It was only when he heard someone speak, their voice unfamiliar and surprising, did Shun bother to raise his head to look about him once more. Shun ran his eyes over the blue haired girl who had appeared, seemingly out of nowhere. She stood at what Shun estimated to be around 62 inches or so with a slight frame and dark-blue, greenish eyes that he couldn't help but admire. She appeared to be around Shun's age, give or take a year or two and he recalled seeing in the past, though where exactly he wasn't certain. After he had committed her appearance to memory, Shun set his mind to work on the fact that the girl had spoken to him. He went over her words, his brain automatically attempting to find the hurtful or rude condonation hidden within them, so sure was Shun that no one was truly a polite or kind individual to outsiders and socially awkward individuals like himself. However, when he realized that there could be no way for the girl to have been being rude or cruel to him, Shun decided to answer her as best he could. Turning to look down at his Samehada practice weapon, Shun noted that it's bandages had become undone near the top and that the girl must have been speaking about it. Opening his mouth to break the silence that had occurred as Shun ran over her words mentally, Shun found himself cut off just as he was about to answer. Turning his head ever so slowly, Shun eyed the newest arrival to the park with nothing but contempt held within the depths of his black irises and in the contortion of his face. Shun could find nothing but sarcastic taunting in the words he had chose to use whilst he addressed the young man Shun was sure he had never met before.

| Okay, firstly, Jirobo was strong enough to throw a 200 guy around like he was a bag of sugar, he was also a highly-trained specialist in Taijutsu of jounin-level and had more physical power as most of the chuunin do now. His level of power would be a single spec with multiple downsides to compentsate, so that'd need to be downsized please.
But then you're as fast as the fastest genin [Kiba caught up with and attacked Madara, a feat that hardly any shinobi have been shown to complete, without him realising it until he was actually attacked] and with as much stamina as the person with the most physical stamina [Narutard doesn't count for obvious reasons xD]
That seems a bit OP to me; The speed would be fine, but you'd have to put say..endurance as a downside; Try it with speed and a lowered strength as specs and endurance, nin and genjutsu as downsides.
Also, you have ninjutsu as a secondary spec, remove that please, Genin only get one.

| 1. I disagree with you on several points, mostly the ones about the character specifications.
A. Inuzuka Kiba was, in no way, the fastest Genin in the series at the time of the Chunin Exam, which was the point where I specified my character's speed to belong to. That title EASILY goes to Rock Lee, followed very closely by Uchiha Sasuke, though it can be argued that Uchiha Sasuke is equivalent to Lee, due to the fact that Rock Lee himself compared Sasuke's performance in his fight with Gaara to himself and was shocked by how similar they were, though, Sasuke DID have to use Sharingan just to replicate the speed, and he seemed to only be able to do so whilst in full command whilst he was also copying his moves. Kiba is, in my opinion, roughly the third to fourth fastest Genin during the Chunin Exam arc.
B. Uchiha Sasuke did not, in any way, have the highest amount of Stamina, excluding Uzumaki Naruto, at the time of the Chunin Exam. If anything, I would argue that Gaara had more, mostly due tot the fact that Naruto Databook, which showcased the character's stats, including their "Stamina" stated he was 2 points higher (on a scale of 5 thus putting him at a 4) than Uchiha Sasuke's. In fact, Sasuke's ranking in Stamina was only a 2, only one point higher than Haruno Sakura, who is known to have just below average Stamina.
C. I will not argue with you about the Jirobo strength rating, but I will state that Choji, during part 1, the portion of the Naruto manga where he faces him, does not weigh even close to 200 lbs. Choji weighs, according to the guidebooks, roughly 152 lbs or so.
D. I highly doubt Jirobo, during his base stage, had Jonin level strength; Zabuza was able to send Kakashi flying with minimal amounts of effort whilst lugging around a sword so large Suigetsu couldn't walk with it for very long without having to stop for rest and some water. If anything, I would state that Jirobo had the strength of a particularly strong Chunin at best.
2. If I cannot base strength on Jirobo, who would you advise I base strength upon?
3. I have altered the speed comparison to that of Hyuuga Neji, according to both my own discretion and the guidebook, he is decidedly slower than Inuzuka Kiba, who, it appears, is considered to be decidedly faster than I intially thought.

| Firstly, don't ever argue with staff again, I'm trying to help you, so give me enough respect and actually take my word for it.
Jirobo had the pure strength to pick up a chuck of rock around eight to ten feet tall from the ground itself and then randomly throw it at people..Zabuza can't do that. Suigetsu can't do that..nobody but a -very- select few have that much power.
Also, if you only use and practice Tai and have Tai so much stronger than other genin, as well as being so much faster, stronger and more endurant than anyone else your rank, then like Lee you'd have to have a huge flaw like being unable to mold chakra and such.

| 1. I'm not arguing with you, I'm merely pointing out the flaw in your logic, the flaw you are taking into consideration when you make judgments upon my character.
A.I stated my character was as fast as Inuzuka Kiba during the Chunin Exam, to which you countered that Kiba was the fastest Genin, to which I replied that was not true, and thus, your judgment that my character's speed was too much was flawed. Had you stated that it was not allowed simply because Kiba is a bit too fast for a character who specializes in Taijutsu, I would have simply accepted it, but your reasoning behind disallowing it was not sound, and thus, I wished to point out this issue.
2. I am almost certain you are referring to a jutsu that Jirobo used, because, as far as I know, all of his workings with the earth were later discovered to be Doton Jutsu, not just physical ability. Though I will admit that his Earth Release: Earth Mausoleum Dumpling jutsu was a bit much.
3. You have not commented upon my points about either speed or stamina, so I am going to assume they were reconsidered and are now acceptable?
4. I have altered my character's Weaknesses to include the inability to utilize any jutsu that are not considered to be "Basic", with the possible exceptions of Kuchiyose and Shunshin.
5. And not to be a bother, but you disregarded my question about whichi Canon character would be most appropiriate for me to base my character's strength upon.

| Simply put, you have to many bonuses as a Genin. Even if there are equal downsides, a Genin wouldn't have monstrous strength, beyond average speed, and a lot of stamina as well.

Also, which canon character is most appropriate for comparison for Enhanced Strength?

| I myself wouldn't know, but you cant have a bonus in every one of these. Even if it's just a little. It'd make you far to stronger, or better then other Genin character wise. | |

| I hate to disagree with you, especially since this would mean that I have successfully disagreed with both of the Mods who have taken time to review my character, but I do believe I must state my disagreement.
I've gone out of my way to state that my character is, for the most part, in capable of successfully utilizing either Genjutsu or Ninjutsu, with a few minor exceptions, and as such, he is at a disadvantage in the respect that all he can do, in regards to either discipline, is defend himself with an abnormally powerful physique.
However, if the staff feels it necessary that my character's physical capabilities be lowered to the level of an average Shinobi if he should choose to specialize in Taijutsu, then I am willing to comply. Though I will ask if it is possible to train one's body in a fashion similar to Rock Lee to acquire abnormal physical capabilities?

| I respect that your stating your disagreements, though, since this is an RP site, balance is needed.
It is possible, but Rock Lee was far beyond Genin rank as a Genin. You'd have to work your way up.

As it stands, I doubt my character could even properly defend himself against a viable threat.

| You are a Genin, your job is to train, not fight against Chuunin and Jounin, or missing nin for that matter. That is why Genin are put into squads. There there is no word count for obtaining characteristics, you;d have to do that on a rank update once you become Chuunin | |

| 1. Other Genin can use Ninjutsu/Genjutsu
2. I never once mentioned Chunin, Jonin or Missing Nin.
3. It is also Genin's duty to do battle with Shinobi of roughly their rank, as evidenced by Tsunade sending the Sasuke Retrieval team out before a Jonin was assigned to accompany them. Though, it can be argued that Tsunade actually sent Naruto and Co to do battle with Shinobi who were, for all intents and purposes higher level then they were, though, only in skill and not in rank.
4. Same theory with the Sand Village invasion.
5. I have reestablished my character's Enhanced Speed and Enhanced Stamina, with the removal of all enhanced Strength, does this mean that he is now balanced enough to be your average genin who utilizes, primarily, Taijutsu?

| You're misunderstanding us. We're not saying you can't be -either- faster, or stronger, or more endurant than a regular genin, but not even Rock Lee who trained -constantly- for most of his entire life was stronger, faster -and- more endurant than all the genin. Chouji was by faaaar stronger and Naruto had more narutal endurance by the bucketloads even without the Kyuubi than Lee, he had more than usual genin, but his only real specialties were the fact he isvery fast and extremely skilled at taijutsu.
Why not just have extra speed and have a downside of being rather physically weak in terms of endurance, like lee.

| 1. Rock Lee once ripped a tree root that was larger than himself out of the ground; he was anything but weak.
See pages 06 and 07 of Volume 6 Chapter 7 (Called Chapter 52 on most Mangahosting sites)
In fact, the entire reason I didn't compare my character's physical abilities to Rock Lee's was because I thought, all things considered, Rock Lee was much too powerful for a Genin. Which is why I chose people I thought were below him in almost everything relating to Physical ability (With the exception of Jirobo)
2. Rock Lee didn't really begin his excessive training until he began to pick fights with Hyuuga Neji, as the only time we ever see him training, canon training, anyway, was when he bonded with Might Guy. After which, it can be stated that his training took a major turn towards completely insane as Guy, more than likely, pushed him well beyond whatever limits he had prior.
3. Choji isn't all that strong, not in Part 1, anyway. He is relatively strong, but he is not all that strong. Most of his strength derives from his jutsu, most of which, actually significantly amplify the user's strength.
4. Naruto didn't ever not have the Kyuubi, at least, not while we knew of him. He got it as a toddler and it was constantly helping him, most evidently, by offering him insane amounts of stamina and endurance, and a healing factor that was incomparable to other Shinobi, with the exception of Kisame when he utilizes Samehada specifically for regeneration.
5. You seem to be under the impression that Rock Lee was not particularly powerful, this is, in no way, true. Rock Lee was completely and utterly beyond the scope of most of his peers when it came to pure Physical ability. No one was quite as fast, almost no one was quite as durable and only a few were quite as strong. Rock Lee was, easily, one of the most physically powerful genin in the entirety of the chunin exam.
6. I do not quite see the logic in making a character who specializes in nothing but Taijutsu, but is physically inept. Nonetheless, as it appears that one cannot specialize in Taijutsu without being, somehow, physically inferior to their peers, I will comply.

Y'know what, no more. Edit what you're been asked or you'll be denied, plain and simply, you're just being childish now. You don't -need- to argue like this, you don't need to bring up random facts that only you think are right, all you need to do is edit what you've been asked like four times now and get accepted, why are you trying to be this childish and arguing with people you can be banned for arguing with?
It's in the rules. Do. Not. Argue. With. Staff. Ever, ever, never-ever, evah-evah argue with staff.
Also, you have no merit to these little lies of yours, nothing ever said Lee was that strong or endurant; If he was, why did Kimimaro absolutely DESTROY him in seconds; If he was that strong and endurant, why'd he get his ass chopped off and handed to him on a silver platter; Because he isn't!
No more arguing, ever. Change what you've been asked please. Speed or endurance

| 1. I have already complied with what you initially asked, which was to include an inferior physical strength.
2. The rules actually state "Respect all members of the Staff. I don't want to see members disrespecting them. They are here on their own will, and are here to help the members. Give them respect for that." or "If a staff member sees something wrong with something you create, and you feel they are the wrong one, then bring it up politely. Do not insult or argue. " I have not, in anyway, disrespected you. I simply do not agree with what you are stating, and am telling you so. Nor am I arguing with you, as an argument is defined as "An exchange of diverging or opposite views, typically a heated or angry one", to which, I assure you, I am in no way angry that you do not see the logic in my claims.
3. I can offer links to back up absolutely everything I have stated if you would like, and I am more than willing to do so if you find what I say to be untrue.
4. Rock Lee was defeated by Kimmimaro because, as stated by Orochimaru, Kimmimaro was the strongest of the Sound Five, though he later fell ill and was thus, removed from the roster, making it the sound four, Rock Lee was not at his best as he escaped from the village before he was fully healed from his fight with Gaara during the Chunin Exam and Kimmimaro's kekkai Genkai gave him an advantage over the plucky Taijutsu user.
5. It took Kimmimaro more than a few seconds to defeat Rock Lee, in fact, it took him long enough for Gaara, who is not considered to be the fastest of character's to catch up to the Leaf Genin group.
6. Also, you'll find that my facts pertain directly to what you disagree with, they are not random.
7. I have performed the edits as you requested.

| Abysmal Chakra Control-
You should probably remove that flaw, especially since you have just 1 charasteristic now. Having that little bit of chakra control would mean you wouldn't be able to walk on water, or do the tree climbing. __
Other then that i don't see any other problems with the app.

| I'm going to put in my own input here. As a Taijutsu user you'd have four main things increase Strength, Speed, Endurance and Stamina other wise...your shit. For weaknesses low Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, Low chakra reserves and lower chakra control. Each would balance out his strengths to his weaknesses I believe.
As it really doesn't make any form of sense what so ever for a Taijutsu user to have low bloody Strength. As a Genin maybe two of each strength and weakness then gains them as he ranks up and does a character update. Because why a Taijutsu user doesn't have increased strength seems completely retarded to me.
Also I've seen no argueing what so ever on this app. I've seen mere disagreements and stating those disagreements. Everyone has the right to make disagreements on their application and explain why they disagree. If it’s a valid reason why it’s being removed and everyone agrees fair enough.

| Since his character is a Taijutsu specialist. I advised him on what characteristics he should have regarding Strength boosts and what weaknesses. I see nothing wrong what so ever with his new characteristics. His new strengths give him just that little edge over other Genin but that is to be expected as his character is a Character user but the boost isn't that pick so their acceptable.

| No..Makai, he's not -supposed- to have an edge over everyone else, that's the POINT. Also, don't just appear and accept things we're trying to resolve xD
You can't have more speed, strength, stamina -and- endurance than every other genin just because you use Tai. And about the gen and nin thing, that's not a flaw for one tiny, specific reason. You're a genin with Tai..you won't get to use either until the next rank, if you get there, which is probably months from now, meaning you having those as flaws as a character that isn't GOING to use either is just not going to work.
The flaws need to be real; IF you want to be like Lee, have more speed by a bit but some way to compensate for that, being physically less endurant for example. Or have more strength but less speed ect.
